Job purpose

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as an eHW CAD Librarian.  The eHW CAD Librarian will generate component models for automotive electronics applications.

Key responsibilities

• Create component footprint geometry and electrical symbols primarily using Mentor Graphics tools.
• Understand and interpret component package drawings (ASME Y14.5, etc)
• Interface with requesting EEs, other librarians, the Manufacturing Technology Team, and program management, all on a global scale
• Review and test CAD geometry created by other ECAD librarians.
• Manage component data in library database (accessed globally)
• Follow all approved BorgWarner ECAD processes to maintain library data integrity

What we’re looking for

• High School Diploma required; Associates Degree in engineering field, electrical or mechanical engineering (Preferred)
• 2+ years Mentor Graphics xPedition or similar tool (Preferred)
• 2+ years Mentor Graphics EDM Librarian Cockpit or similar tool (Required)
• 2+ years mechanical CAD tools (NX, Autodesk tools) (Preferred)
• Valor DRC
• MS Office Experience
• Capabilities/aptitudes
