POSITION SUMMARY
The Systems Architect Engineer is responsible for customer requirements management, translation of customer requirements in to detailed product requirements, design items, and compliance testing for power electronics inverter. You will be part of a multi-cultural, multi-disciplined product development team, working on latest state of the art 800V SiC and 400V Si / SiC Inverters for Battery Electric Vehicles and Plug-in Hybrid Vehicles for the eMobility mass market.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Interface with a German or European customer to evaluate and specify power electronic inverter
Analyze and clarify Stakeholder Requirements with partners and other relevant inter-departments.
Take the lead in technical and architectural decisions about the translation of complex specifications into designs
Promote and implement current technology standards, formulate innovative and robust solutions in a competitive environment.
Develop a top level system architecture (HW+SW) under the constraint of all stakeholder requirements (customer specific, internal, regulatory, FuSA...) and specific topics with architectural influence (AUTOSAR, Cybersecurity, development tool…).
Define the high level internal system requirements for sub-components and cascade to individual owners
Contribute to a team-work focused approach and provide guidance to select the best solutions and make it a reality.
Generate System Architecture Documentation under stringent A-SPICE process requirements
Participate in HW configuration and change management with the customer and internally
Support internal customer test and validation programs
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (Minimum Qualifications)
Masters Engineering degree in Electrical/Electronic
7 plus years of experience in Automotive Electronic or e-Mobility (Software and Hardware).
Understanding of vehicle Inverter and e-Machine systems requirements (electrical machine control)
Work in a diversified team, where strong cross-team and cross-domain communication skills are key
Good foundation knowledge of both hardware and C++/C software in embedded systems
Hands-on experience with EA SysML/UML and Matlab/Simulink tools
Basic understanding of Functional Safety and ISO26262 is a benefit
Big picture thinker with an eye for details
Fluency in English and German is required
