The BorgWarner Bradford Story

Our Bradford facility has a proud heritage of innovation and growth. From modest beginnings in 1978 with just 20 employees and a 10,000 sq ft site, we have expanded to a workforce of several hundred and a production capacity exceeding 400,000 turbochargers per year. Today, the site includes 14,100 sq m of factory and warehouse space and 1,700 sq m of office space, supporting our continued development and operational excellence.

Key milestones in our journey include the production of our one millionth turbocharger in 1994, a figure that doubled by 1998. We are proud to hold internationally recognised certifications including IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001. Major investments over the years, such as the addition of new engineering and warehouse facilities, and extensive plant refurbishments, have helped us stay at the forefront of manufacturing excellence.

Today, as part of BorgWarner Turbo & Thermal Technologies, Bradford remains a key contributor to delivering world-class solutions to customers across the globe.
