BorgWarner receives European Sport and Healthy Company Award

BorgWarner’s facility in Viana do Castelo, Portugal, won the European Sport and Healthy Company Award, which is presented every year by the International Organization of Human Capital Directors (DCH) and the non-profit organization Aces Europe. The award certifies and recognizes the efforts of BorgWarner to promote health and sport among their employees by focusing on physical activity and the health of their team members. During a ceremony held in the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium, on December 4, 2018, Gian Francesco Lupattelli, President of ACES Europe, and Juan Carlos Pérez Espinosa, President of DCH, handed the well-known prize over to Pedro Abreu, Plant Manager, BorgWarner.

“This award recognizes and demonstrates our strategic orientation towards sport and the health of our employees here at BorgWarner. The well-being of our team members is vital for achieving our goals”, said Ana Silva, Human Resources Manager, BorgWarner Viana do Castelo. “Adaptability and flexibility are important factors for continuing success, and we at BorgWarner aim to optimize these aspects at all times,” adds Pedro Abreu, Plant Manager of BorgWarner Viana do Castelo.
