FEA Simulation Team Leader - Emissions, Thermal and Turbo Systems R&D

  • At least Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Very good knowledge of mechanics and material science
  • Knowledge of FEA methods and software packages (e.g. ANSYS, Abaqus, HyperMesh, TOSCA)
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience, experience in automotive will be an advantage
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products — Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote
  • Fluency in English, other foreign language will be an advantage
  • Team leader or project leader experience will be an advantage
  • Must be a team player and have good organizational skills including the ability to prioritize, handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines


  • Planning and supervision of project activities
  • Coordination of team activities in alignment with European BorgWarner structures and team responsibilities
  • Reporting on team activities to direct and functional supervisors
  • Talent identification and development
  • Support to turbochargers design and development (component and system level)
  • Carry out appropriate FEA analysis of turbocharger components
  • Continuous improvement of existing processes and methods
  • Interaction with various technical center departments, providing support in solving technical issues
  • Presentation of results and technical judgements to internal and external Customers
