Software Engineer – Cybersecurity

Main Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for analysis of requirements, design, coding and verification of product software for Power Electronics control modules according to Automotive SPICE process in the area of Cybersecurity for Autosar Based Power Electronics Projects.

  • Work with a multi-disciplinary teams to develop requirements, write, test, and document embedded software in the scope of automotive cybersecurity.

  • Developing, maintaining and managing Cyber Security requirements and standards. Implement security requirements to controllers and vehicles systems.

  • Developing software modules for Cybersecurity by Manual Coding and/or Modelling/Autocoding and/or configuration of AUTOSAR modules.

  • Testing safety critical software with given specifications for Cybersecurity Modules. Assist in debugging through established problem solving techniques and debug on bench

  • Integration and review of coded specifications for Cybersecurity Modules. Participating in ECU design reviews with internal cross-functional engineering group, suppliers, and customers.

  • Writing / Modifying scripts for automation purposes. Driving re-use and commonality where possible.

  • Following Automotive software processes and standards (ASPICE). Documenting processes and tasks.

  • Promoting and helping define Security Solutions to our target OEMs customers. Solutions built on Privacy technology offerings together with internal and external partners.

  • Interfacing and Coordinating with Systems engineering to ensure SW/HW requirements are documented appropriately and analyzed prior to software design and implementation.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical & Electronics or Computer Engineering from a reputable university.

  • Strong knowledge of C programming language.

  • Experience in developing real time embedded control systems.

  • Awareness of Version Control (Plastic, SVN, GIT), Task Tracking (Jira) and Requirements Management Tools (Doors, Polarion)

  • Preferably knowledge of Model Based Development Tools such as MATLAB/SIMULINK.

  • Preferably working knowledge of AUTOSAR Architecture(s) and configuration(s)

  • Preferably experience with Power Electronics and high voltage traction inverters

  • Preferably exposure to Software Quality Processes (ASPICE, CMMI, IATF16949)

  • Preferably experience in embedded secure systems, security validation & certification, and ideally in functional safety or Cybersecurity industry

  • Preferably strong interest in cybersecurity and cryptography concepts, including the use of HSM (HW security module) in automotive microcontrollers

  • Preferably awareness of cybersecurity standards and regulations (ISO/SAE 21434, UNECE R155/R156)

  • Preferably good knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Perl.

  • Preferably experience in automotive, defense or aerospace industry in a similar position.

  • Strong technical documentation skills.

  • Fluency in English.

  • High level of interpersonal and team skills.

  • Motivation to work with embedded systems software.

  • Adaptability to work with global remote teams.

  • Availability for national or international travel.

  • Military service must be completed or be deferred at least 2 years for male candidates.
